Energy Consumption of TISCO to Keep Industry Leading Level
OREANDA-NEWS. November 13, 2014. Since TISCO became a domestic second enterprise for negative energy steelmaking of converter in 2006, for 8 years, the energy consumption of converter steelmaking was recorded from the beginning by -1.99 kilograms of standard coal/ton to the current -24 kilograms of standard coal/ton, the industry leading level.
Negative energy steelmaking of converter refers to the total energy consumed by converter steelmaking is less than the total energy recovered from steelmaking operation. As everyone knows, in the process of converter steelmaking, it needs consumption of oxygen, nitrogen, COG, water, electricity and steam etc. energy sources, at the same time it produces by-products such as converter gas and steam. When the energy consumption of converter steelmaking (the former) is less than the recovery rate of by-products (the latter), the difference between two values is called negative, so negative energy steelmaking is realized, i.e. one ton of steelmaking will not only not increase consumption energy, but also some energy can be recovered, it is of very importance to save energy and reduce the consumption, cutting the production cost.
On the basis of the idea of negative energy steelmaking of converter, attributable to technological progress, TISCO No.2 Steelmaking Plant, on the one hand, is trying to debase the energy consumption of steelmaking, strictly operation procedure of operator, steadily enhancing the yield of converter, shortening smelting cycle and abating electrical consumption; on the other hand, maintaining smelting level 2 model in good condition, heightening final continuous casting rate by 98% above via optimization of level 2 model; properly raising final carbon contents, cutting down the phenomenon of converter re-blowing and over-blowing, reducing the consumption of oxygen; making ensure the exactness of measurement instrument in a bid to guarantee the accuracy of equipment function and avert the surplus operation due to data error.
Meanwhile, the energy recovery is strengthened, improving the recovery rate of converter gas and steam; stringent operation regulation of converter covered by hood; ensuring the recovery time and process temperature rising evenly through optimization of feed ratio of converter in order to generate more carbon monoxide and gas quantity; advancing the gas recovery steadily. Keep the equipment in good condition, strengthening the gas recovery and steam, lessening the emission of converter gas and steam; widely application of advanced process and cleaning treatment technology of converter gas and surplus heat reuse. The consciousness of energy saving for staff is unceasingly intensified, pushing on the meticulous management of equipment and assuring the working effect by daily spot maintenance at the post.
As the average recovery rate of converter gas by 90 cubic meter/ton steel; caloric value of recovered gas greater than 7 mega-joule/cubic meter and steam average recovery rate by 80 kilogram/ton steel are reached, the energy recovered exceeds the one consumed. Nowadays, three numerical values abovementioned at TISCO are respectively reached by 115 cubic meter/ton steel; 7.6 mega-joule/cubic meter and 85 kilogram/ton steel, all outstripping the technical and production index and level of negative energy steelmaking process of converter at the same industry in China.
