OREANDA-NEWS. Ingosstrakh Insurance Company has developed the eponymous application for iOS and Android tablets. Earlier the app was only available for smartphones based on iOS, Android and Windows Phone.

Ingosstrakh App has two new features: automatic saving of the details of traveller's policy in the "Personal Profile" section and adding them to Passbook, PassWallet and Wallet applications (depending on the operating system of the mobile device). Now customers will have all the details of their insurance policies at their fingertips.

The next version of the app will feature a service for the settlement of claims under CASCO vehicle insurance against damage and theft policy; the customers will be able to use the app to submit their application in respect of the insured event without visiting the company's offices. Using this functionality, customers will be able to send a description of the circumstances of the insured event together with the photos of the damaged vehicle, marking the damaged parts on the diagram, and accompany the message with the photos of the necessary documents.

Vadim Yurko, the Head of Marketing of Ingosstrakh Insurance Company, comments: "Nearly 20% of the traffic on our website is generated by people who view our pages and use our apps from their tablets. In the nearest future, tablets will be produced in greater numbers and also used more frequently than desktop computers and laptops. Any company that wants to keep up with its client must make its services available for mobile devices and constantly develop the range of functions of their apps."
