Kazakh PM Participates in Kazakh-Italian Business Forum
OREANDA-NEWS. November 12, 2014. Prime Minister Karim Massimov has participated in the opening of the Kazakh-Italian business forum "The mission of entrepreneurs "Italy in Kazakhstan" in Astana.
In his speech, Karim Massimov identified promising areas of cooperation, where, in his opinion, it is necessary to focus joint efforts on.
"Kazakhstan is implementing industrialization program, tends to attract innovation and develop technology transfer. We appreciate the achievements and experience of Italy in many fields, including agriculture, light industry, construction, energy and mining sector. And hope for widespread use of Italian industrial-innovative technologies, skill in implementing joint projects," K. Massimov said.
In turn, our country has necessary resources and capacity, the head of Government said.
"Kazakhstan is a part of the Eurasian Economic Union, which will start working in 2015. This is a new market with a population of 170 million people, with great potential for investment in the Kazakh economy, joint ventures and production," K. Massimov said referring to the Italian entrepreneurs.
Kazakh Prime Minister said that the Law of the Republic of Kazakhstan providing new incentives for investors has been adopted; also a visa-free regime for citizens of 10 countries, including Italy has been introduced this year.
Foreign delegation included about 80 companies representing agriculture, textiles, and construction industries. The delegation was headed by Deputy Minister of Economic Development of Italy Carlo Calenda. The Kazakh side involved about 200 representatives of national companies, organizations, industry associations and development institutions.
