OREANDA-NEWS. The Belarusian industrial group Belorusneft has been recognized the best company for promoting innovations in Russia and the Commonwealth of Independent States in 2014. The evaluation of the work of the Belarusian oil company has been voiced by the Russian chapter of the Intervention & Coiled Tubing Association (ICoTA), the press service of the Belarusian company told BelTA. The best companies received a special award during the 15th international science and practice conference held to discuss coil tubing technologies, hydraulic fracturing, and well intervention. Winners were awarded in 11 nominations. The panel of judges included representatives of ICoTA?s Russian chapter, experts of the Russian Energy Ministry, members of the academic council of the Coiled Tubing Technologies Development Center and the editorial board of the Coiled Tubing Times Journal. The Intervention & Coiled Tubing Association was founded in Houston, USA in 1994 for the sake of sharing experience and spreading knowledge in this field. At present the organization has five regional chapters in the USA, Canada, Europe, Latin America, and Russia. The Belarusian industrial group Belorusneft was founded in 1966. The company specializes in the surveying, prospecting and development of oil fields, well drilling, oil and associated petroleum gas extraction in Belarus and a number of other countries, including Russia, Ukraine, Venezuela, and Ecuador.
