OREANDA-NEWS. The state-owned Belarusian company OAO Belaruskali is due to launch the second stage of the project to retool the halite waste conveyer at the sylvinite dressing factory (Fourth Mine Group), a company representative told.

The total value of the project stands at Br57.496 billion (USD 5.378m).

Belaruskali is now seeking a contractor to accomplish the second stage of the project.

The closing date for bids is on November 21, 2014.

The sylvinite dressing factory (Fourth Mine Group) has been operating since 1978.

The state-owned Belarusian company OAO Belaruskali is one of the world's largest manufacturers of potash fertilizers, employing about 18,440 personnel. It operates the Starobinskoye potash salts deposit and comprises four mine groups, auxiliary shops and support units.

Belaruskali controls more than 16% of the world's potash fertilizer market.
