OREANDA-NEWS. Azerbaijan Investment Forum organized by The European Azerbaijan Society (TEAS) was held in London on November 5.

Forum presented the large-scale projects carried out in the ICT industry, energy and financial sectors in Azerbaijan. It was stated in the event that President of the Republic of Azerbaijan Ilham Aliyev signed a Decree on “Establishing the Southern Gas Corridor Closed Joint Stock Company” (CJSC) on February 25, for effective management of projects within the second phase of Shah Deniz gas and condensate field's development, expansion of the South Caucasus Pipeline, Trans-Anatolian Gas Pipeline (TANAP) and Trans Adriatic Pipeline (TAP). 51 percent of the closed joint stock company is owned by the Ministry of Economy and Industry and 49 percent is owned by the State Oil Company of Azerbaijan. Under the Decree, SOCAR provides transferring all shares on projects to the CJSC, financing and effectively managing the projects by the CJSC. The forum heard the speeches by Christopher Pincher MP, Member of UK Energy and Climate Change Select Committee, Maksud Mammadov, TANAP manager for foreign issues, and Lisa-Jane Givert, TAP director for communications.
