OREANDA-NEWS. November 10, 2014. Nuclear Medicine Center will be opened on the basis of the Regional Oncology Center of Semey city on December of the current year. It was announced by Vice Minister of Health and Social Development Serikbol Musin at Central Communications Service briefing.

"Today, Kazakhstan has taken serious measures for development and modernization of cancer services. We plan to open five high-tech centers of radiation oncology in Semey, Astana, Almaty, Aktobe, and Karaganda in 2015," Serikbol Musin said.

According to his words, the Ministry should focus on issues of child and infant mortality. Infant mortality in Kazakhstan decreased 1.6 times in comparison with 2009.
