Bashkortostan OFAS Found that 10 Insurance Companies Violate Law
OREANDA-NEWS. November 10, 2014. The Office of the Federal Antimonopoly Service in the Republic of Bashkortostan (Bashkortostan OFAS Russia) found that ten insurance companies* violated Article 11 of the Federal Law “On Protection of Competition”.
The meetings of the Commission of Bashkortostan OFAS Russia were attended by individuals who reported the circumstances of applying to insurance companies in the Republic of Bashkortostan in 2013 - 2014 except OSAGO policies and unreasonable refusals by companies to conclude OSAGO policies and imposing services on voluntary types of insurance concluding OSAGO agreements.
All companies received determinations from Bashkortostan OFAS Russia to eliminate the violations of the antimonopoly law.

Clause 1 Part 4 Article 11 of the Federal Law “On Protection of Competition” prohibits other agreements between economic entities (except “vertical” agreements allowed under Article 12 of the Federal Law “On Protection of Competition”) if established that such agreements lead or can lead to competition restriction. Such agreements can include, in particular, agreements:
1) On imposing disadvantageous contract conditions upon a counteragent or irrelevant to the contract subject (unreasonable requirements to transfer financial assets, other property, including property rights, as well as a consent to enter into a contract provided it comprises provisions on the goods, in which the counteragent is not interested, and other requirements).
