OREANDA-NEWS. November 07, 2014. Dried fruit, bakery and pastry, dairy bee products and alcohol-free beverages from Moldova have been featured at Interfood& Drinks, the specialized exhibition of food industry hosted by Sofia, Bulgaria, on November 5-8, 2014.

10 companies from Moldova, including its Transnitrian regon - Bantcarad, Cahulpan, Cornelius, Delikat, Ecofruct, Fabrica de paine din Rabni?a, Kreolina, Prodcoop, Veselie and Vioniservice- displayed their exhibits at a shared stand, CCI of Moldova informs.

The companies have taken part in the exhibition thanks to the financial support of the European Union and UNDP under the Programme on Confidence-building Measures, aimed at promoting local companies to the EU market, ensuring the know-how and best practices exchange and developing cooperation between local and foreign companies. At the exhibition, the participants will organize the samplings of their foods and hold bilateral meetings with businessmen from Bulgaria.

According to the National Bureau of Statistics, in January-August 2014, the bilateral trade between Moldova and Bulgaria amounted to USD75.4 million, down 5.4% against the same period of 2013. Over the first 8 months of 2014, Moldova's exports to Bulgaria were USD 26.8 million, up 33.3%, Bulgaria’s exports to our country making USD 48.6 million, down 18.4%.
