OREANDA-NEWS. November 07, 2014. Economic entities that officially registered their trademarks can apply for the participation in this contest starting from November 5, CCI of Moldova said.

Organized by CCI and State Agency for Intellectual Property, the contest “Trademark of the Year” was for the first time held in 2003. It aims to promote successful marketing and branding practices and sound competitiveness to spur enhancement of quality of goods and services in Moldova. The most important distinction of the Contest is “Golden Mercury”, followed by gold, silver and bronze medals awarded for the 1st, 2nd and 3rd place respectively in each nomination.

This year, awards are presented for the following nominations: “The Debut of the Year", "Export", "Inter", “Favourite of the Year", “Social Responsibility” , “The Dedicated Trademark”, “Reputation and Confidence”, “Local Trademark”, "The Consumers' Appraisal".

The applications for the participation are accepted till December 24, 2014, the awards to be presented on January, 28-February, 1, 2015 at the exhibition “Made in Moldova”. In 2003-2013, 1,060 participants from 18 cities and towns of Moldova took part in the contest “Trademark of the Year”.
