Kazakhstan Imports Up to 30% of Various Fuel Products from Russia
OREANDA-NEWS. November 07, 2014. "Kazakhstan imports from 12% to 30% of oil and lubricants from Russia," 1st Vice Minister of Energy of Kazakhstan Uzakbai Karabalin said at meeting of the Nur Otan party faction at the Majilis.
"Thanks to the complex policy of the Head of State aimed at attracting investments more than USD 200 billion was invested in Kazakhstan over the years of independence. 50% of those investments were channeled into the country's oil and gas sector," he added.
"For the past ten months the main refineries processed 12,4 million tons of oil that is 102,4% to the approved plan. Consumption balance of the most used AI 92 gasoline and diesel fuel indicates that the country's production of these fuel products is insufficient to meet the domestic demand. That's why Kazakhstan imports up to 30% of various fuel products, mainly, from Russia," he resumed.
