OREANDA-NEWS. November 07, 2014. Witnessed by Chinese President Xi Jinping and his Maldivian counterpart Abdulla Yameen, CHEC Chairman Mo Wenhe and the Maldives' Tourism Minister Ahmed Adeeb Abdul Ghafoor signed the Memorandum of Understanding on the Cooperation in the Comprehensive Infrastructural Project in the Maldives in Male.

Under the memorandum, CHEC should give play to its comprehensive advantage as an international contractor and make great efforts in airport construction, reclamation, interisland transportation and construction of relevant supporting facilities in the Maldives to further improve the Maldives' tourism infrastructure level, thus promoting the country's economic and social development.
