S7 Airlines Changes Baggage Transportation Rules
OREANDA-NEWS. November 06, 2014. S7 Airlines, a member of the oneworld® global aviation alliance®, from the 26th of October 2014 introduces new rules for free baggage allowance on its own flights.
After moving to the winter flight schedule the Piece Concept system will apply. A lot of major foreign airlines, members of the oneworld® alliance among them, already use this system. Thanks to universal standards for all flight sectors passengers will find travelling on flights of different alliance members even more convenient.
The number of pieces of baggage permitted for free transportation (1PC/2PC) will be specified in the itinerary receipt. On S7 Airlines flights economy class passengers will be able to carry 1 piece of baggage (suitcase/ bag/ box) with weight not exceeding 23 kilograms. In addition the sum of the three dimensions (length-breadth-height) of one piece must not exceed 203 cm. Business class passengers will be able to carry for free two pieces of baggage with the same size and with weight not exceeding 32 kilograms.
Free baggage allowance for children under two years old travelling without a seat will be 1 piece with weight not exceeding 10 kilograms, the sum of the three dimensions up to 203 cm.
Economy class passengers will be able to take to the aircraft cabin one piece of carry-on baggage with weight not exceeding 7 kilograms, the sum of the three dimensions not exceeding 115 cm, business class passengers can take two pieces with the same characteristics.
If the total baggage weight of one passenger does not exceed 10 kilograms, the number of pieces is not limited.
On codeshare flights of S7 Airlines and partner airlines rules may be different.
