OREANDA-NEWS. November 05, 2014. MERLION confirmed its leading positions on the Russian market once again, by entering the number of the largest Russian companies in the ratings of Forbes and "Expert" magazines.

Leading business editions, Forbes and "Expert" magazines, published annual ratings of the largest Russian companies. MERLION improved its positions in both ratings considerably in comparison with the last year. In the rating by Forbes "200 largest companies of Russia" MERLION takes line No 36 (in 2013 - No 40), in the rating by "Expert" magazine "400 largest companies of Russia" the company rose by eight points for the year and now takes line No 60.

About the rating by Forbes

Forbes presents non-public economy of Russian for the second time — rating of 200 companies, in the equity of which the state or foreign investors hold less than 50%. Total proceeds of 200 participants of rating remained approximately at the same level — 23.9 trillion rubles, which is just by 1 trillion rubles more than as per 2012 results. The list of rating participants has not changed significantly for the year — just 16 companies withdrew, giving the place to stronger rivals.

MERLION has been presented in the first half-hundred of Forbes rating every year since 2005.

About the rating of "Expert"

The indicator, characterizing sales of products (works, services) in 2004 is taken as the main criterion of  "Expert-400" rating. In cases, when due to the specific features of the companies’ activities this indicator cannot be applied (for example, for banks, insurance companies), economically applicable data of the financial statements shall be used. Participation in the rating "Expert-400" has no branch restrictions. As a result companies practically from all basic spheres of the economy were included in it. The company’s rank in the rating was determined by ranking by the volume of sales of the products (works, services).

MERLION has also been present in the rating of "Expert" since 2005.
