OREANDA-NEWS. November 05, 2014. The Board of Directors approved Aeroflot Group’s marketing strategy for 2015-2020.

The strategy envisages the development of a client relationship management system, strengthening the Group’s online presence, increasing the customer focus of the business and developing a number of other areas. As part of the strategy Aeroflot has set the goal of strengthening its positions on the Russia and CIS markets, as well as promoting the brand in other countries. Aeroflot will strengthen its position in premium segments by leveraging its competitive advantages including comfort and reliability, its modern fleet of aircraft and high level of service.

On JSC Aeroflot’s budget for 2015. The Board of Directors considered JSC Aeroflot’s budget for 2015, as well as the Group’s investment programme for 2015-2017. The Group plans to cover its capex costs for 2015-2017 in full from its own funding sources.

On work with shareholders and the investment community. Active engagement with the global investment community has been designated a priority. High-quality dialogue with investors and analysts establishes a foundation for growth of the Company’s share price once financial market trends turn positive. An itinerary of external meetings with investors through the end of 2014 was approved.

On JSC Aeroflot’s motivation system. A decision was taken to adjust the Company’s staff motivation system in light of plans to transition to IFRS as JSC Aeroflot’s official reporting standard, as well as to adjust for changes in currency exchange rates.

The Board of Directors approved the purchase of new Airbus A320 aircraft. Eleven airplanes (six A320s and five A321s) are to be supplied by International Aviation Investments Trading Ltd. Eleven more (eight A320s and three A321s) are to be supplied by Global Aircraft Trading PTE Ltd.

On optimisation of maintenance and repairs of aircraft parts. The Board approved a transaction between JSC Aeroflot and Lufthansa Technik AG to provide maintenance and repair services (including pool access) for Airbus A320F, A330 and Boeing B737NG parts.
