OREANDA-NEWS. Tele2, an alternative mobile operator, has changed conditions for cooperation as a part of franchising program. It has become even easier and more convenient to open Tele2 stores.

Tele2 has increased a franchising contract term up to five years whereas it used to be a one-year contract. Besides, the operator has changed a payment procedure for the use of brand (royalty). The dealer earlier paid off 2% of his commission fee to the operator and had to spend another 2% for advertising campaigns. Under the new conditions, the partner pays Tele2 4% in royalty and takes up all load connected with advertising activities.

Other franchising conditions remained the same. Tele2 is compensating 50% of expenses for leasing the point of sale. If the dealer implements the plan, the operator will cover 100% of all expenses.

When opening a Tele2 store, each franchisee gets a ready-made business solution. It includes all main components - from the development strategy to interior design concept. Tele2 is interested in the partners' success that's why it provides them support at all stages of business.

Another advantage of Tele2 franchising program is that a dealer does not spend his own funds to make refurbishment at stores, to purchase IT equipment or train personnel. It is the operator that pays all these expenses.

Individual businessmen may also buy the Tele2 franchise - for this, they do not need to have their own retail chain or a special experience in telecommunications.

The franchising network now involves over 600 single-brand stores. By the end of 2014 Tele2 is going to bring the number of mobile supermarkets up to 650 and to double their number in 2015.

Aleksandr Smolin, Tele2 Russia retail chain development director:

"Tele2 is actively developing its business. We will soon enter new regions and offer high-quality services to our clients. The retail network is playing a key role in Tele2 development as a federal operator. In 2015 the company is planning to double the number of its single-brand stores. Tele2's partners are both large federal retail chains and small players knowing specifics of the market."
