OREANDA-NEWS. October 31, 2014. Deputy Regional Development and Construction Minister Anatolie Zolotcov met economic advisor of the Bucharest-based Spanish embassy Agustin Navarro de Vicente-Gell.

The officials  discussed opportunities of bilateral cooperation between Moldova and Spain, the Regional Development and Construction Ministry’s (MDRC) press service has reported.

Zolotcov was accompanied by heads of departments, responsible for construction and regional development. The MDRC representatives expressed interest to develop cooperation relations with similar institutions from Spain, in charge of promoting projects on social dwellings at national level.

At the same time, the MDRC representatives highlighted the importance of taking over Spain’s experience in regional planning, in the context of elaboration of National Regional Development Strategy for 2016-2020 and single programme document, which included the list of regional projects eligible for financing in the next years. As for the adoption of Eurocodes, the ministry’s employees asked for financial support from the Spanish side in working out national annexes of Eurocodes.

For his part, Agustin Navarro de Vicente-Gell stressed his country’s willingness to exchange good practices on the above-mentioned areas, pointing out Spain’s cooperation with Romania in terms of working out of Urban Plan of Bucharest. Also, the official emphasised that he would promote the exchange of experience with Moldova in construction and regional development sector.
