Excellency Centre in Wine-Making to Be Set Up in Central Moldova
OREANDA-NEWS. October 31, 2014. The Chisinau-based National College of Vine-growing and Wine-making (CNVV) today presented a concept of an Excellency Centre, due to help "modernise, reform and enhance the competitiveness of the vine-growing and wine-making sector from Moldova."
Under the project, the launch of the centre aims at modernising CNVV in terms of "the way of education, practical field and developing the administrative component."
Attending the event, Prime Minister Iurie Leanca said the main goal of the centre would be to train specialists for "the strategic branch of the country, the wine-making one."
"We want the most performing technologies be found here, so that those who will graduate from this centre be educated and immediately involve in professional activities," Leanca said.
Agriculture and Food Minister Vasile Bumacov said this centre represents "the beginning of the settlement of an absolutely pressing problem for our country."
"The foundations of the vine-growing and wine-making field, which are schooling and training staff, are quite necessary at present, so that this industry may be re-oriented towards EU," Bumacov said.
The Excellency Centre in Vine-growing and Wine-making at CNVV is to be finished in the next two years. The estimated overall budget of the project is of about four million euros.
