OREANDA-NEWS. October 30, 2014. Their products will be displayed sharing the stand of the National Vine-and-Wine Office. Following the presentation of brand Wines of Moldova first at the large-scale wine exhibition Prowein in Dusseldorf in March, 2014 and then in Poland, the Czech Republic, the USA and Romania, Prowine China 2014 in Shanghai is considered as a next step towards the promotion of Moldovan wines to strategic markets.

Ahead of the exposition, the National Vine-and-Wine Office of Moldova has organized a trip of journalists from China to our country for Chinese consumers to learn more about Moldovan wine and its legend. 8 Chinese journalists were making a week-long tour of Moldova to discover the rich and diverse world of Moldovan wine. They attended 15 wineries, interviewed wine experts, took part in wine samplings and enjoyed local winemaking traditions.

The group of Chinese guests also included founders of Fine Drink Magazine, La Revue du Vin de France, Spirit Circulation Magazine, etc. According to the National Vine-and Wine Office of Moldova Director Dumitru Munteanu, the Office has set it as its key goal to make brand Wines of Moldova recognized internationally. In this context, China is seen as a huge market to be developed. The National Vine-and Wine Office of Moldova organized the trip of Chinese journalists together with its strategic partner, USAID CEED II.

The trip was part of the plan for promotion of Moldovan wine abroad. The National Vine-and Wine Office is a public organization based on the private-and public partnership, whose main goal is to promote and advertise Moldovan wines on diverse markets within the national programme “Wine of Moldova. A Living Legend”.
