A new blanking line, in operation at the Mannheim steel service center since August, offers customers from a variety of sectors new possibilities for producing very small blanks. It can cut 0.4 to 3 millimeter thick slit strip into lengths from 200 to 2,500 millimeters and widths from 80 to 650 millimeters.
Processing capabilities expanded
“The investment in the blanking line expands our capabilities and means we can offer our customers a new process step. We are convinced that the additional service to produce small custom blanks will be of great value, particularly to our customers in the automotive supply industry,” said Marcus Wohl, CEO of ThyssenKrupp Stahl-Service-Center.
Customers profit from custom blanks with very close tolerances, optimum edge quality and precise squareness.
