Petrozavodsk Heat Consumers Switch to Direct Payments to TGC-1
OREANDA-NEWS. Since January 1, 2015 due to TGC-1 being assigned the status of a unified heat supply organization in Karelia, all the heat consumers in Petrozavodsk will be transferred to the system of direct payments to the Petrozavodskaya CHPP of TGC-1, a strategic producer of heat and electricity for the capital of Karelia.
First of all, the assignment of the status of a unified heat supply organization and the transfer to direct payments to the heat supply organization is done for the sake of consumers - it provides for an organization that is fully responsible for quality, reliable and affordable heat supply.
"In January 2015, the organizations and the households of Petrozavodsk, which amounts to 85% of the housing and industrial fund of the city, will make payments for heat supply to the producer of heat, the Petrozavodskaya CHPP of TGC-1. A unified heat supply organization will serve as the "one stop shop": consumers will have the opportunity to switch to direct payments to the producer of the resource," explains the Director for Economy and Finance of the Karelskiy branch of TGC-1, Alexey Ermakov. "Draft heat supply agreements which will be sent to all legal entities are currently being prepared. In turn, an agreement for the transfer of heat will be conducted between TGC-1 and the PCS (Petrozavodsk Communal Systems) as the lease holder of the city heating networks. This step will increase the payment collection rate and maximize their transparency. Direct transfer of payments to the accounts of the resource provider, the Petrozavodskaya CHPP in this case, is absolutely consistent with national proceedings".
Starting from November 2014, TGC-1 will organize a weekly hotline for the consumers. You can also ask the specialists on the company's website at http://www.tgc1.ru/clients/karelia/faq/ section "Clients - Petrozavodsk, the Republic of Karelia".
In addition, upon results of the hotline of the Petrozavodskaya CHPP, TGC-1 will hold a series of round tables on the matters of direct payments for the representatives of the Managing Companies, Homeowner Associations, Housing Co-operatives and the large consumers of heat.
