OREANDA-NEWS. STG-Eco LLC signed a contract with the administration of Istrinsky municipal area of the Moscow region for the development of a reclamation plan for the Istrinsky solid municipal wastes (SMW) landfill under the Federal Target Program "Elimination of accumulated environmental damage" for the period of 2014-2025.

STG-Eco will perform the whole range of engineering surveys (including geodesic, geological and environmental surveys),develop design and estimate documentation, provide for project field engineering support when approving it in the Moscow Region State Expert Review.

As per Customer's requirements, STG-Eco shall plan for a number of activities to reduce the negative environmental impact of the solid municipal waste (SMW) landfill.

The Istrinsky SMW landfill is located 40 km away from Moscow, 6 km to the south-west of the town of Istra, 370 m away from the River Istra. The landfill accommodates more than 3 ml m3 of SMW. The landfill deposit is about 30 m in height. The landfill has excess in terms of the capacity and area, therefore it is expected to be shut down on Nov.1, 2014, as per the regional program "Elimination of Accumulated Environmental Damage".
