OREANDA-NEWS. On October 23, 2014, a meeting was convened in the town of Murmashi between the JSC TGC-1 experts, and their Finnish partners, Inari municipality representatives and the electricity transit Inergia Oy officials.

- We have long established relations with our Finnish partners. In 2015, our cooperation will mark 50 years, during which the Paz Cascade HPPs have uninterruptedly been exporting electricity to Finland, says Alexander Novikov, senior engineer for the TGC-1 Kolskiy Branch.

The session participants discussed results of the renovation programme for the permanent equipment and plans for the renewal of capacity in 2015, as well as perspectives for exports development and telecommunication linkage of borderline HPPs. The energy relations between Murmansk Oblast and Lapland are a prominent example of our countries' stable cooperation in joint usage of the water resources and the electricity export and import.

- Cooperation with TGC-1 is a priority for us, stated the Chair of Inergia Oy Management Board Toini Sanila.
