OREANDA-NEWS. Ingosstrakh Insurance Company paid RUB 2,384,826 to a bank insured by the company under the insurance program for ATMs and the cash inside the ATMs. The insurance indemnity compensated for the loss incurred by the policy holder as a result of the theft of the ATM.

The property of the bank was insured by Ingosstrakh Insurance Company against loss, destruction or damage in the event of fire, lightning, explosion, natural disasters, water damage, malicious acts of third parties, as well as burglary and other risks, for a total amount of RUB 60 m. Objects of insurance are ATMs and cash in Russian rubles and foreign currency inside such ATMs. The effective term of the contract is from January 1 to December 31, 2014.

The incident occurred in July 2014. Unidentified persons broke into the shop in Noginsk at night and stole an ATM located there with the cash inside the ATM.

A criminal case was initiated on the fact of the theft. After the investigation into all the circumstances of the incident and the materials of the investigation, Ingosstrakh Insurance Company recognized the case as an insured accident and paid compensation to the bank in the amount of the damage received.
