OREANDA-NEWS. According to Rosstat, for the first nine months of 2014 the Russian assembly lines produced 1.3 million vehicles - it is less by 6.2% than a year before. Meanwhile, the last month, it was produced about 100 thousand cars, which is less by 18.1% than a year ago.

It is worth noting that AvtoVAZ in September began the serial production of Lada Priora cars with robotized transmission. With regard to the production of foreign cars, due to the fall in demand in the Russian market, the last month it was stopped the car production of St. Petersburg GM plant and Volkswagen in Kaluga. Additionally, at the end of September it was stopped the assembly line of GM-AUTOVAZ for the rebalancing of the assembly line to reduce the speed of the conveyor.
