According to the National Bureau of statistics, in the budgetary sector the average salary in August 2014 amounted to 3848,7 lei (+17.8% compared with August 2013), and in the real sector of the economy - 4451,5 lei (+9,7%), respectively.

The highest salary in Moldova in August 2014 was registered in the field of informational services and communications - 8159,6 lei; financial and insurance sectors - 7767,4 lei; enterprises operating in the field of electricity, heat and gas supply and air conditioning - 7105,3 lei; public administration and defense; social security - 5364,7 lei, in the field of professional, scientific and technical activities - 5363,1 lei. The lowest salary in August 2014 was registered in agriculture and forestry - 2738,2 lei; in field of arts, recreation and entertainment - 2412,0 lei; hotels and catering - 2847,5 leis.

The average salary in education in August of this year made up 3655,8 lei; administrative and support services 3708,5 lei; trade, repair of cars and motorcycles - 3689,2 lei; health and social care – 4163 lei; real estate transactions - 3999,8 lei; transportation and warehousing - 4445,5 lei; enterprises of processing industry - 4094 lei; construction - 4497,6 lei; extractive industries - 4823,1 lei.
