OREANDA-NEWS.  October 24, 2014. This is provided for by a draft agreement to be concluded between the government of Moldova and the European Commission the signing of which has been approved by the Cabinet.

The agreement aims to reduce poverty, ensure sustainable economic growth and consolidate democratic governance in Moldova, Moldova’s Vice-Premier, Economy Minister Andrian Candu said.

The goal of the agreement is to support the establishment of the deep, comprehensive and free trade area between Moldova and the EU, to enhance key facets of Moldova’s competitiveness as the RM-EU association agreement requires in the following areas: quality infrastructure (standardization, methodology compliance assessment, accreditation and international cooperation in these fields); supervision of the markets of industrial and non-industrial goods and services, development and diversification of Moldova's external and internal markets and enhancement of competitiveness of the SME sector; a campaign to raise the competitiveness/DCFTA long-term benefits awareness among people of Moldova.
