OREANDA-NEWS. October 24, 2014. Deputy Foreign and European Integration Minister Iulian Groza participated in the EU-Southeast Europe Summit titled "On the road to stability and growth", organised by The Economist newspaper in Bucharest, the Foreign and European Integration Ministry’s information and media communication service has reported.

 In his speech, Deputy Minister Iulian Groza emphasised that significant changes had taken place in Moldova in recent years, and the country deserved special attention from development partners and foreign investors.

 The official referred to the enforcement of the Association Agreement with the EU, including the Free Trade Area, and noted that the programme of reforms carried out by the Chisinau-based authorities contributed to the modernisation of the country and its rapprochement with EU. "Moldova has become a reliable partner of EU and an example for countries from the region," said Deputy Minister Iulian Groza.

 The diplomat noted that liberalisation of the visa regime for Moldovan citizens in the EU area provided new opportunities for business development and human contacts. Deputy Minister Iulian Groza reiterated that Moldova pursued the objective to advance the European integration process and the immediate priorities were the implementation of the Association Agreement, turning into account the Deep and Comprehensive Free Trade Zone, continuing the justice reform and improving the investment climate.
