OREANDA-NEWS. October 24, 2014. The meeting of National Economy Minister of Kazakhstan Yerbolat Dossayev and Minister of Industry and Trade of Small and Medium-sized Businesses in Egypt Mounir Fakhry Abdel Nour.

"We welcome the proposal to establish a free trade zone between the countries of the Customs Union and Egypt," Y. Dossayev said during the meeting.

Yerbolat Dossayev stressed that the creation of the free trade zone will give a significant impulse to bilateral cooperation between the two states.

It should be noted, that trade turnover between Kazakhstan and Egypt within 8 months of 2014 amounted to about USD 50 million.

In 2015, Kazakhstan and Egypt are planning to hold the 5th meeting of the intergovernmental commission on trade, economic, cultural, humanitarian, scientific and technical collaboration.
