FAS Improves Analysis on State of Competition on Markets
OREANDA-NEWS. October 24, 2014. A group of FAS officers are on a training course at the Centre for Education and Methodics of the Federal Antimonopoly Service (FAS Russia) for analyzing goods markets.
The qualification advancing training is attended by around 50 representatives of FAS regional Offices from different provinces of Russia. Lecturers are researchers, practicing lawyers, economists and representatives of FAS Central Office.
In particular, the Head of FAS Analytical Department, Alexei Sushkevich discussed the planned changes to No.220 FAS Order “On the Procedures for Analyzing the State of Competition” on the Market”. For instance, a standard will be introduced to prepare a detailed report in the results of each market survey.
Participating FAS officers emphasized the importance of the training course.
Alexei Sushkevich already put forward an initiative to include the same course in 2015-2016 FAS training plan and make it annual for new officers of the Antimonopoly Service.
“Training on market analysis is some kind of а “boot camp” for everybody who came to work to the system of the antimonopoly bodies, and the Kazan Centre is an ideal platform for it. We expect that this specialized course because regular and our colleagues will be even better familiar with the modern economic standards and practical methods of analyzing goods markets”, commented Deputy Head of FAS, Andrey Tsyganov.
