Unified Company NIAEP-JSC ASE Shows Innovative Technologies
OREANDA-NEWS. A representative delegation of the Embassy of the Republic of India in the Russian Federation headed by Ambassador Extraodinary and Plenipotentiary Pundi Srinivasan Raghavan and with the participation of representatives of the Indian business community visited NIAEP - ASE.
The delegation studied activity of the unified company JSC NIAEP - JSC ASE and innovative practice of design engineering and construction of nuclear facilities.
During the working meeting Yury Ivanov, Senior Vice-President - Director of Designing, described the main lines of the company's activity in Russia and overseas. He noted in particular: "The Unified company, that was created in 2012 by solution of the State Corporation "Rosatom", is the leader of nuclear engineering to provide services on designing, procurement, construction and decommissioning of nuclear power plants with the use of IT-based state-of-the-art methods of designing and construction of power-generating units. We are involved in works in 14 countries; the portfolio of our company makes more than 20 power-generating units at different stages of life cycle in Russia and abroad, including India. NPP Kudankulam is the most powerful nuclear power plant in India and the largest facility of the Russian-Indian cooperation".
Georgiy Kumani, Deputy Director for Prospective Projects of the Moscow Branch, told about the Russian-Indian cooperation: "The Russian Federation is technically assisting India in construction of two power-generating units of NPP Kudankulsm with VVER-1000 reactor plants of 1000MW each (AES-92 Project). On the Russian part JSC Atomstroyexport (JSC ASE) and Nuclear Power Corporation of India Ltd. on the Indian part are in charge for implementation of agreement on construction of power-generating units. The first unit was interconnected and it attained the design capacity on June 7, 2014. Currently, works on the second unit are in at the final stage.
In April, 2014 a general frame agreement on construction of units 3 and 4 was signed. Works on provision of its validation and signing of contracts are conducted".
The implemented and advanced projects were also represented to the visitors. Among these projects there are complex engineering objects design and construction management, electronic catalogue of equipment, project director portal to provide the uniform informational space for all participants of the Project on NPP construction through access to 10 industrial informational modules.
Multi-D technology and simulation process of NPP construction were demonstrated on-location.
"These technologies are implemented at all objects of the company including those that are abroad, - emphasized Yury.A.Ivanov, - and we are ready to implement the project management system in cooperation with our Indian colleagues during construction of new power-generating units".
Mr. Pundi Shrinivasan Raghavan inquired about the course of work on signing the contracts on construction of power units 3 and 4 of NPP Kudankulam, and emphasized also the interest of the Indian government in increase of the extent of localization at construction of NPPs. He expressed complacency with the Russian-Indian cooperation in the nuclear field and noted that JSC NIAEP-JSC ASE deserves well in it.
