Belarus Liberalizes Excise Tax Regulations for Alcohol Producers
OREANDA-NEWS. Both state-owned and privately-owned alcohol producers and beer makers in Belarus will be free to choose when they should pay their excise taxes, the president's press-service said in a release.
The new practice will be effective in the period from Jan 1, 2015 till Dec 31, 2016. The aforementioned excise tax practice became available for only state-owned alcohol manufacturers (except brewers) in the period from Jan 1, 2014 till Dec 31, 2014
The new practice makes it possible for alcohol producers (both private and state-owned including beer manufacturers) to pay their excises taxes on alcohol products, which have already been sold to customers (or shipped to retailers), as opposed to products that are simply in stock. Thanks to the move, alcohol manufacturers will not have to draw credit resources from banks to pay their excises taxes.
