BASF Presents Innovations for Oil and Gas Industry
OREANDA-NEWS. At the SPE Annual Technical Conference and Exhibition (ATCE) on October 27. - 29. 2014 in Amsterdam, The Netherlands, BASF will showcase its range of innovative chemical solutions as well as sustainable solutions for the upstream oil and gas industry market. These solutions allow companies to maximize their operations throughout the different phases of petroleum production including drilling, cementing, stimulation, production and enhanced oil recovery.
BASF will be presenting innovations across all application segments:
Basoblock : cementing latex-based, film forming additives with tunable performance profiles that help block gas migration through the cement slurry. In addition, the high temperature latex stabilizer Emulphor(r) FAS 30 used in conjunction with Basoblock can prevent latex coagulation and improves slurry rheology in brines.
BasoMSA : an excellent option for stimulating high temperature wells with a superior performance at high temperatures, outstanding corrosion behavior and superb environmental profile.
Aspiro(tm) : a new range of polymers and surfactants that can be applied in a large variety of field conditions to enhance oil recovery. With the Aspiro(tm) product range customers can get combined expertise from one source.
The Aspiro(tm) P range consists of water soluble polymers based on polyacrylamide (PAM) technology. Standard anionic PAMs are suitable for mild field conditions, while developmental associative thickening polymers have shown promising behavior in demanding fields.
The Aspiro(tm) S product portfolio comprises a broad range of surfactants, co-surfactants and solvents.
During the conference, BASF will be highlighting application specific presentations on the following topics at stand 509 in hall 2: overview Production Additives, Stimulation Additives, Drilling Additives and Cementing Additives.
"Industry events such as ATCE are a great forum for us to meet with our customers and discuss the technical challenges the oil and gas industry is facing such as those associated with unconventional resources, enhanced oil recovery and water management," said Justine Smith, Vice President Global Oilfield Solutions, BASF. "We are continually working closely with our customers to leverage our competence in chemistry to offer sustainable and competitive solutions for the industry."
An international team of BASF experts will welcome customers and visitors at the booth to discuss and exchange on the latest innovations as well as the existing range of proven, high-quality products for drilling, cementing, stimulation, production and EOR.
