OREANDA-NEWS. October 22, 2014. The specialists of JSC TATNEFT performed a significant amount of work for nine months in 2014 to improve the environmental safety of oil field facilities.

854.9 km of corrosion resistant pipes and 4078.9 tons of corrosion inhibitors were produced in TATNEFT from the beginning of the year. 458 wells were equipped with cathodic protection and electrochemical protection was implemented for 428.4 km of pipelines.

Particular attention was traditionally paid to monitoring the condition of environment in the area of the Company's operations. Performance benchmark resulting from the implementation of measures to protect water bodies were consistently kept within the established standards. The chemical analytical laboratory of "UPTZH for PPD" carried out 8,852 analyses of surface water and groundwater bodies' water samples during nine months of the year.

Monitoring of the air at the settlements located in the area of the JSC TATNEFT's activities was performed in accordance with the approved schedule. 9,613 ambient air sample analyses were performed during nine months of the year. Benchmarks were consistently kept within the established standards.
