OREANDA-NEWS. October 22, 2014. In 2014 more than 11 billion tenge was provided for repair of apartment houses in Kazakhstan in the framework of modernization program of housing and communal services of Kazakhstan for 2011-2020. It has been announced today by Vice Minister of National Economy of Kazakhstan Kairbek Uskenbayev in the Majilis.

"To date, of 1 360 residential apartment houses scheduled to repair, 1 352 were repaired, repairs of 8 of them continue. For 2014 the national budget allocated 11 billion 847,9 tenge to repair 698 homes. Repairs of 140 houses have currently been completed," K. Uskenbayev said during the Council meeting on regional policy and work with representative bodies under the faction of "Nur Otan" in the Majilis.He said that repair of houses have not been done due to lack of budget funding in 2013. "In this connection, repair of houses was carried out at the expense of the return means: 79 homes totaling 863.1 million tenge were repaired," he added.

We should remind you that the Program of modernization of housing and communal services of the Republic of Kazakhstan for 2011-2020 aims to ensure proper maintenance of the country’s housing resources and upgrading of municipal infrastructure.

Achievement of the following target indicators is provided in the first phase up to 2015: reduction from 32% to 22% condominium facilities share requiring major repairs; modernization of 24 400 km of networks; providing not less than 50% of consumers in each region of the country with quality public services.

The program covers two areas: housing and community sectors. Reducing the share of condominium facilities requiring major repairs from 32% to 28% was provided during the period of implementation of the program.

Overall there are 105 122 residential apartment houses, including: requiring major repair – 29 751 or 28%; damaged houses, houses in a clearance area - 3 807 houses or 3.6%. 71 560 houses or 68% are in good condition.
