Hungary occupies an important place in the Eastern European area of foreign policy of Kazakhstan. Cooperation between the two countries is a partnership and long-term feature, Vice Minister of National Economy of Kazakhstan Timur Zhaksylykov said during the meeting.

The trade turnover between Kazakhstan and Hungary amounted to USD 131.4 million for 8 months (2.5% growth). In the past period - USD 128.2 million.

From 2005 to 2013, the inflow of direct investments from Hungary to Kazakhstan's economy amounted to more than USD 60 million.
