OREANDA-NEWS. October 21, 2014. A regional workshop of regional Offices of the Federal Antimonopoly Service (FAS Russia) in the South Federal District (SFD) took place in Maikop (the Republic of Adygeya). The Prime-Minister of the Republic of Adygeya, Murat Kumpilov; the Prosecutor of the Republic of Adygeya, Vasily Poslovsky; the Chairman of the Arbitration Court of the Republic of Adygeya, Igor Divin and his Deputy Olga Kulinichenko, took part in the opening ceremony on 9th October 2014. The two-day workshop was chaired by Deputy Head of FAS, Alexander Kinev.

Attendees included: Deputy Head of FAS Alevtina Timoshenko; Deputy Head of FAS Legal Department, Larisa Vovkivskaya; Deputy Head of FAS Department for Control over Financial Markets, Irina Smirnova; Deputy Head of the Department for Housing & Utilities, Construction and Natural Resources, Alexei Matyukhin; the heads and officers of the antimonopoly bodies in SFD, representatives of the Prosecutor’s Office, the Supreme and Arbitration Courts of the Republic of Adygeya, representatives of mass media, etc.

On the first day of the workshop participants discussed the issues of combating anticompetitive agreements (cartels), antimonopoly enforcement and judicial practice, administrative liability.

On the second day of the workshop participants focused on the enforcement practice of Article 18.1 of the Federal Law “On Protection of Competition”, the practice of competitive bidding in alienating the property assigned to municipal and state unitary enterprises under the right of economic management, problems of proving anticompetitive agreements and concerted actions on the market of banking and insurance services, etc.
