OREANDA-NEWS. Total gas sales volume by Tokyo Gas Co., Ltd. for the month of September 2014 came to about 1,094.075 million m3, up 55.922 million m3 (+5.4%) from September 2013.

In the residential sector, volume totaled 134.651 million m3, up 16.0% from September 2013, due to lower average temperature compared to that in the same period last year, leading to the increased demand of water heating.

In the business sector (consisting of commercial, public, and medical use), volume totaled 219.701 million m3, down 11.1% from September 2013, due to lower average temperature* compared to that in the same period last year, leading to the decreased demand of air conditioning.

In the industrial sector, volume totaled 560.174 million m3, up 11.2% from September 2013, leading to the increased demand for power generation.

Volume for wholesale supply to other gas companies totaled 179.549 million m3, up 4.9% from September 2013, due to the increased demand of the other companies.
