OREANDA-NEWS.  October 16, 2014. As it was informed in the National Bureau of statistics, the negative trade balance in the first 8 months of 2014 amounted to 45.6% vs. 43.9% at the same period of 2013.

The volume of Moldovan exports in January-August 2014 made up USD1 billion 552,8 million, increasing by 0.6% compared with the same period of 2013, while imports decreased by 3.1% up to USD 3 billion 406,9 million.

According to the NBS data, the export of the domestic goods for 8 months of 2014 amounted to \\$978,8 million (63% of the total), down 5.3% compared with the same period of 2013. The re-export of goods amounted to \\$574 million, or 37% of the total exports.

In comparison with the same period of 2013, the re-export of goods in January-August 2014 increased by 12.5%. In general Moldovan exports to the CIS countries for 8 months of 2014 amounted to USD 510,6 million, decreasing by 16.4% compared with the same period of 2013. Deliveries to the EU countries grew by 15.8% up to USD 810,6 million, and to the other states declined by 0.7% up to USD 231.6 million. The share of CIS countries in the total Moldovan exports decreased for the specified period from 39.6% to 32.9%, the share of EU countries increased from 45.3% up to 52.2%.

The share of other countries decreased from 15.1% up to 14.9%. According to the NBS data, in January-August 2014 Moldova reduced the import from CIS countries by 14.9%- up to USD 919,6 million, from the EU countries increased by 8%- up to USD 1 billion 687 million, and from the other States reduced by 8.1%- up to USD 800,3 million, respectively.

The share of CIS countries in the total volume of the Moldovan imports declined from 30.8% to 27%, the share of EU countries has increased from 44.5% to 49.5%, and from other states decreased from 24.7% to 23.5%.
