OREANDA-NEWS. October 16, 2014. The two millionth solid steel cord tire was produced at "Nizhnekamsk SSC Tire Factory" on October 13, 2014.

The jubilee KAMA NF202 tire of 315/70 R22,5 size was assembled by the assembly workerы Rustem Vafin, Rustem Shavaliev and vulcanizer Rustam Khabibullin.

The Nizhnekamsk solid steel cord tire factory produces today 54 sizes of tires for all types of trucks, buses and semi-trailer equipment, including 25 sizes being produced for a German Company under the premium brand in accordance with the off-take system.

By their durability and ecological friendliness, SSC tires meet modern Russian and foreign standards and they are not inferior in quality to the similar world's leading brands. The SSC tires advantages include high speed performance, tire life up to 500 thousand kilometers with the possibility of retreading, and these tires allow significant fuel saving.

The service life of the tires is increased through application of rubber components that reduce the tires overheating in the course of motion.

The tires' high strength and reliability are achieved through application of the steel cord in the frame, and thanks to the optimal breaker and board design, which allows increasing the load capacity up to 8 percent. All these technical and operational characteristics of the KAMA solid steel cord tires are confirmed during actual operating conditions on the roads in Russia and abroad.

The consumers of the Factory's products include JSC "KAMAZ", JSC "NefAZ", MZ "TONAR", as well as the largest transport companies in Russia Celta (Magnet) and Mosgortrans. The Nizhnekamsk SSC tires are supplied to 31 countries.

The high quality of the KAMA SSC tires was confirmed by victories in contests "Best Goods and Services of the Republic of Tatarstan" and "100 best goods of Russia".

Reference Information

TATNEFT Company has invested about 18 billion rubles in the factory construction. The factory with a design capacity of 1.2 million tires per year has been built with application of international best practices and technologies of SSC tires production. The first mass production  of tires took place in 2010.
