OREANDA-NEWS. October 16, 2014. Today, Prime Minister Karim Massimov has chaired a cabinet meeting, where a wide range of issues of financial and economic unit was discussed.

In particular, Cabinet members discussed issues related to legalization of property, second wave of privatization of quasi-public sector, development of 100 billion tenge allocated from the National Fund for support of SMEs, as well as the progress of the program "Agribusiness 2020" and Employment Roadmap.

Ministers: Finance – B. Sultanov, National Economy - Y. Dossayev, Investment and Development - A. Issekeshev, Agriculture - A. Mamytbekov, Health and Social Development - T.Duissenova spoke on these topics.

At the same time, the head of National Economy Ministry reported on the results of the program "Ak Bulak" for 9 months of the current year.

According to Y.Dossayev, "112.8 billion tenge is provided for implementation of "Ak Bulak" program’s activities in 2014, including 91.8 billion tenge - for development of rural and urban water supply and sanitation."

"As of October 1, 2014, local executive bodies mastered 63.64 billion tenge or 97.9% for the plan of reporting period. The main reason of under development is late tender procedures, which led to delays on the time schedule and the risk of delays in commissioning of the facilities," Minister explained.

Taking into account that the program "Ak Bulak" is integrated into the program "Regional Development until 2020" (effective from 1 January 2015), Y.Dossayev noted the need for the principle of regional priorities in its implementation.

"First of all we must focus on providing drinking water to support settlements, settlements included in the metropolitan area and the border areas, villages with high development potential, which subsequently can become centers of economic growth. In this regard, local executive bodies need to agree the list of projects planned for design and implementation of a three-year period. It is particularly important to agree a list of locations where exploration of water supplies is necessary," Minister said.

The meeting also approved the Action Plan for implementation of the national program of industrial-innovative development for 2015-2019.
