OREANDA-NEWS. October 14, 2014. About 37 kilometres of the Hincesti - Lapusna national road will be restored with European funds during the next two years.

According to a press release by the Transport and Road Infrastructure Ministry, asphalt rehabilitation works will be carried out and a gyratory intersection will be constructed on this route.

"The rehabilitation of the Chisinau – Hincesti road segment was completed in 2013. This year we started the rehabilitation of the Hincesti - Cimislia highway and now we are also launching the restoration works on the road to Lapusna. Thus, we are rehabilitating major roads leading to the south of Moldova," said Transport and Road Infrastructure Vasile Botnari.

The works to restore the Hincesti - Lapusna segment will be carried out by an Azeri company from funds provided by the European Investment Bank. The investment for these works amounts to 18.7 million euros.
