Moldovan Farmers to Benefit from Grants within World Bank Programme
OREANDA-NEWS. October 14, 2014. Other three farmers in horticulture will benefit from grants worth 10.2 million lei within the Facilitating Access to Markets programme of the World Bank’s Agricultural Competitiveness Project in Moldova (MACP). The inter-ministerial committee on files assessment took a decision to this end.
According to a press release, the groups of producers asked for investment support to build fridges and install sorting lines.
In last August, another five groups of producers of fruits and vegetables were selected to benefit from grants amounting to 17.8 million lei. The farmers willing to participate in the programme may submit their documents to the Agency of Intervention and Payments for Agriculture till 30 October. The programme’s budget is estimated at 7 million dollars and will be implemented till 2017.
Only groups of producers in horticulture, with a three-year activity at least, which lease farmlands meant for multiannual plantations for 15 years, may apply for the programme. The ceiling of the investment grant, accounting for 50 per cent of the investment, stands at 350,000 dollars.
