OREANDA-NEWS.  October 14, 2014. Eesti Meedia, which finalized a management buyout of Postimees last year, and owns a number of other media companies, has announced the purchase of two well-known websites.

The group will buy kv.ee, one of two largest real estate websites, and osta.ee, an online consumer to consumer sales service similar to eBay. The deal will also include a Lithuanian personal ad website, Postimees reported.

The purchase is subject for approval by Lithuanian competition authorities.

The group, or businessmen connected to the group, have in the past year bought a majority in the Baltic News Service and a number of small media websites such as perefoorum.ee.

Eesti Meedia owns media outlets in all three Baltic nations, although its presence in Estonia is the largest. In Estonia, it also runs a television channel, Kanal 2, a host of local newspapers, a printing press, a postal service and a number of radio stations.
