Rosatom Allocates RUR 42.7mln to Abandon Wells Decommissioned by Dalur
OREANDA-NEWS. ROSATOM State Atomic Energy Corporation received RUR 42.7 mln under the federal targeted programme for the rehabilitation of areas affected by exploration and development activities at the Dalmatovskoye deposit. These funds will be used to abandon wells decommissioned by JSC Dalur. The disturbed lands will also be recultivated.
Works under the federal targeted programme are being carried out by JSC State Specialized Design Institute "Ural State Design and Survey Institute VNIPIET." In 2013, geodesic, engineering and environmental surveys were conducted; currently, elaboration of design project is proceeding to completion.
It has been found necessary to abandon the decommissioned wells and restore surface soils in the territory of 4,200 sq.m, which pertains to the Dalmatovskoye uranium deposit.
Industrial development of the Dalmatovskoye deposit is being continued in compliance with the production plan. This year, the fourth sorption pressure column was installed on the local sorption streak of the Ust-Uksyansky reservoir within the Dalmatovskoye deposit. Its volume is 50 cub.m and production capacity is 300 cub.m of solution per hour. Therefore, the streak has been fully prepared for increasing uranium extraction in 2015.
