OREANDA-NEWS. A delegation from The World Steel Association visited Metalloinvest's Lebedinsky GOK and OEMK as part of the WSA's 48th annual conference. Delegates learned about a range of investment projects implemented by the Company, such as the construction of HBI-3 Plant at Lebedinsky GOK and a new circulating water supply system at OEMK, as well as the plants' full production cycles.

The delegation included the leaders of global steel companies, such as Dragon Steel Corporation, China Steel Corporation, Emirates Steeland others, as well as representatives from Russian and international media outlets.

Oleg Mikhailov, Managing Director of Lebedinsky GOK, commented: "We are pleased to have the opportunity to introduce our foreign colleagues to the plant's production process. Lebedinsky GOK is the only plant in Russia and the CIS, and one of the few worldwide, that produces three products: concentrate, pellets and HBI. We hope that this visit will strengthen relations with our partners and will become a starting point for new mutually beneficial projects."

Nikolay Shlyakhov, Managing Director of OEMK, added: "OEMK is one of Russia's most modern steel enterprises. It is the first plant to implement DRI technology, which makes us the most eco-friendlysteel producer. We think it is important to familiarise our colleagues with up-to-date steel production practices in Russia and withour development plans."
