OREANDA-NEWS. Imports of passenger cars in Russia for the first eight months of 2014 fell by 18.6% to 485,000 vehicles. According to the Federal Customs Service (FCS) of Russia, during the reporting period it was imported passenger cars worth 9 billion 451.4 million Dollars to Russia. Therewith, from foreign countries it was imported 460.1 thousand cars worth 9 billion 264.1 million Dollars, from CIS countries - 24.9 thousand cars worth 187.4 million Dollars.

Imports of trucks in January-August 2014 fell by 18.6% to 46.4 thousand units worth USD 1 billion 485.7 million. Among them 44.6 thousand trucks that worth 1 billion 250.5 million Dollars were delivered from foreign countries, the rest 1.8 thousand vehicles for 235, 2 mln. Dollars - were delivered from the CIS countries.

Export of passenger cars from Russia for eight months in 2014 increased by 7.1% and it was 87.5 thousand units worth 993.3 million Dollars. Therewith, to the foreign countries it was sent 3000 cars worth 36.2 million Dollars, to CIS countries - 84.5 thousand vehicles worth 957 million Dollars.

Export of trucks decreased by 17.4% - up to 13.3 thousand vehicles worth 299.4 million Dollars. To the CIS countries it was delivered 3.2 thousand trucks worth 110.4 million Dollars, to CIS countries - 10.1 thousand vehicles worth 189.1 million Dollars.
