In the words of Mr. Alexey Kurbanaev, General Director ОАО "ZMZ", this project is realized according to requirements of key customers - Ulyanovsky automobile plant (UAZ) and Pavlovsky bus plant (PAZ), and is proposed for development of competitive, more modern ecological product to meet the requirements of current market niche and make the potential demand".

In particular for engine family for UAZ-vehicles will be developed 4-cylinder engine (2,7 l) as a petrol version meeting the EURO-5 emissions standard. For PAZ will be developed 8-cylinder engine as a petrol- and dual-fuel version. Dual-fuel engine will run on petrol and compressed natural gas / liquefied petroleum gas. It will let reduce the costs of vehicle maintenance. 8-cylinder engine is proposed for installation on 3 versions of mid-range PAZ-busses.

Start of production and serial supply of EURO-5 engines is on January, 1st. 2016.
