Inflation Rate in Georgia Made 1,2% In September 2014
OREANDA-NEWS. Inflation rate in Georgia made 1,2% in September 2014 as against August 2014 - told in the National Statistics Office of Georgia "GeoStat".
Over the reporting period, foodstuffs and soft drink prices increased by 3,3%; alcohol drinks and tobacco - by 0,5%; public utilities service - 0,3%; healthcare sphere - by 1,5%; education sphere - by 1,2%; service at hotels, cafe and restaurants - by 0,8%. At the same time, transport prices dropped by 0,8%. Prices in communications sphere remained unchanged.
The inflation rate in Georgia made 4,8% in September 2014, as against September 2013. Over the reporting period, alcohol drinks and tobacco prices increased by 2,4%; foodstuffs and soft drink prices - by 8,4%; service at hotels, cafe and restaurants - by 3,7%; in the healthcare sphere - by 15,2%; in transport sphere - by 2,2%; in the education sphere - by 1,6%; public utilities service - by 3,4%. At the same time, prices in communications sphere dropped by 0,8%. -0-
