OREANDA-NEWS. ArcelorMittal Kryvyi Rih has invested 3 mln UAH into overhaul reconditioning repair of 6 city trolleybuses in 2014. Annually, ArcelorMittal Kryvyi Rih provides funds for implementation of city social projects, which allow increasing the comfort living level of Kryvyi Rih city habitants.

Currently, 4 renewed trolleybuses of PU "City trolleybus" are starting their work on the traffic route in Kryvyi Rih. In November 2014, the repair of two more units of the rolling stock will be completed, that will improve quality of service for passengers in the city. After capital repair, trolleybuses are equipped with the new seats, panel of route indicators, updated interior upholstery and transparent hatches. After repair, these trolleybuses have lower rear end area - this is the first ramps within Kryvyi Rih's public transport for persons with disabilities. Updated trolleybuses will run on routes No 2, 11, 21, 23, connecting st. Kryvyi Rih - st. Kryvyi Rih Golovnyy (including route through Serafimovych str.), st. Kryvyi Rih - st. KTSRZ, Vyzvolennya sq. - st. Rokuvata.

Paramjit Kahlon, acting CEO of ArcelorMittal Kryvyi Rih: "Starting today updated, comfortable trolleybuses will run on the main trunk lines of the city, which are used daily by employees and veterans of our plant. Ensuring of the capital repair of trolleybuses is one of our social projects which we are implementing together with local authorities in 2014. It is important that the funds allocated by the company are used for concrete activities, which are repairs of pavement and public lighting networks, the setting up the modern "Steel Workers' park" in one of the central districts of Kryvyi Rih. Traditionally, social partnership with the local and regional authorities, support of the local community, and creation of comfortable conditions for citizens of Kryvyi Rih are our priority tasks, as of responsible business".

In 2014 according to the partnership agreement for social and economic development of the city between ArcelorMittal Kryvyi Rih and executive committee of Kryvyi Rih city council the company will allocate 15 mln. UAH for social programs implementation in Kryvyi Rih. Annualy ArcelorMittal Kryvyi Rih signs similar agreements for social cooperation with the local authorities. In 2010-2013 the plant spent 60 mln UAH for financial support of the city's social projects, including:

construction of the railroad at "Koltsevaya" express tram station;

reconstruction and improvement of Yuzniy Avenue;

installation of metal-plastic windows at Kryvyi Rih schools and hospitals;

road maintenance;

repair of the residential houses roofs;

acquisition and installation of equipment (fitness machines) at city schools' sports grounds.
